Playing their third game in 40 hours, the Wolves defended well enough to win Sunday at Allstate Arena behind some excellent goaltending by Robert Gherson.
After squandering a three-goal lead late in the third period by giving up three in 2:09, the Wolves recovered quickly in overtime for a 4-3 victory over the Quad City Flames on Saturday night at Allstate Arena.
Coming off a 7-2 loss Tuesday to the Manchester Monarchs, the injury-riddled Wolves played the first of three games in three days when they visited the Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday. They were scheduled to host the Quad City Flames tonight and the Griffins on Sunday at Allstate Arena.
