Making all the wrong moves

It's difficult to believe these stumbling, bumbling Bears are just three seasons removed from the Super Bowl. What happened to the promise of 2006?

The voice of the people

Now hear this, sports fans: You are not irrelevant. Your voices can be heard. You do matter.

Bears' curse of high expectations

The Bears beat the Browns by 24 points, and everyone is complaining. Go figure. At this point in the season, don't we have a pretty good inkling of what the Bears are all about?

It's a start, now keep up the 'D'

During the pregame festivities, Benny the Bull climbed a very tall ladder to bang a drum. And when the Bulls' starting lineup was announced, the players ran down to the court from the stands. The ladder stunt might have been more dangerous, but the sight of the gangly Joakim Noah navigating those steps was definitely more nerve-wracking. MLB has put fans in a cold snorage

Leave it to Major League Baseball to strip the joy out of the playoffs. The postseason should be a celebration, but it has become a mockery. There is no good reason to subject the players or fans to these conditions time and again. Enough is enough.

Weis accepts moral victory for ND

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- This was going to be the one that erased all the bad memories. And Notre Dame hung tough, but time ran out on them. The end result was yet another loss to USC, this time by the score of 34-27. But hey, the Irish are getting closer. Isn't that something to feel good about? Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis seems to think so.

Meathead Limbaugh has every right to own NFL team

Rush Limbaugh is a meathead. But he also is a very wealthy man, and he's part of a group that wants to buy the St. Louis Rams. Does his bid deserve to be considered? Of course it does.
